Terms & Conditions

When booking with Fantasy Fairytales, the below policies must be adhered to. Once a booking has been secured by a deposit, the below policies are automatically accepted by the client. These policies have been made to help us create the high standards that Fantasy Fairytales has when making magic for your children!

Travel and Parking

For performer and equipment safety and to allow us to arrive on time please ensure there will be an available free parking space for us nearby to the entrance. If we are unable to find a suitable parking space it may result in our performers arriving late to the party/event or being unable to attend with no obligation on our part to stay later or give a refund.

For every party/event we allow plenty of extra time for traffic but in the extremely rare case of major traffic issues that will cause us to be late we will contact you ASAP and suitable compensation will be provided. To help us arrive on time, if you are aware that the venue is hard to find due to any reason such as not showing on Sat Nav etc, please inform us upon booking so we can add extra travel time.

Payment

A £30 per character non-refundable deposit is required to secure your party/event. The remaining final amount must then be paid in full at least 3 days before your party/event. If this is not paid we will chase this up the following day and a £15 late payment fee will be added to the final balance. If we have not heard from you by the end of that day we will have to cancel the party/event. For example, if your party is on a Saturday it must be paid by 23.59pm on the previous Wednesday. If it is not we will chase this up on the Thursday and a £15 late payment fee will be charged. If we do not hear from you by end of day Thursday we will contact to confirm that the party/event has been cancelled.

Cancellation/Amendments

With the exception on the national lockdowns, we are proud to say we have never had to cancel a party/event since we began operating in 2014! We make plenty of precautions to ensure we bring the magic to you, but if we ever did have to cancel due to an issue on our end, we would refund all payments made including the deposit.

The deposit is non-refundable if the client cancels or fails to pay remaining balance in time. If the party/event is cancelled and we are notified at least two weeks prior then the deposit can be transferred to another booking within the next 12 months. If we are notified less than two weeks prior then the deposit can not be transferred to another booking and will be lost.

The deposit locks in your characters, date, time, package and venue. Any amendments to your booking are subject to availability, and will incur a £25 per character admin fee.

Other entertainment and food

Unless booking one of our Meet & Greet packages, we highly recommend avoiding other entertainment such as bouncy castles when our characters are there as these can massively impact our entertainment. Whilst we do not enforce this, we do believe it makes for a better experience and our performers will not be expected to keep the attention of all the children if distracted by other entertainment.

We are not able to entertain whilst children are having their food so, please ensure this is done before or after our characters are at the event. If you would like our characters there during food to interact with the children, we do offer this as an extra on our party packages.

If you would like our character there for a visit whilst they have food or take part in other entertainment then our Meet & Greet packages are perfect for this.

Safety

We are not responsible for the safety of your guests. We are entertainers, not caretakers therefore there must always be suitable adult supervision. In the case of a disruptive child, we please ask that an adult steps in to avoid it impacting the experience for the rest of the children.
Please provide a safe environment for both our staff and your guests. The performing area should be free from any tripping hazards or dangerous objects. If room temperature is uncomfortably hot or cold our performers reserve the right to take quick comfort breaks.
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Harassment of any of our team will result in an immediate cancelation and you will not receive a refund.

Guest numbers

The maximum number of guests is stated on each package. If you wish to have a larger party, an additional character will be required. If we arrive to a party and there are more than the maximum children present, please note we may not be able to host the party and/or carry out the package activities.

Weather Conditions

We are prepared to come to your party/event come rain or shine! However, severe weather conditions may impact our ability to get to you. If this is the case, we will be in touch ASAP to discuss options.

For outdoor parties/events a suitable indoor alternative must be organised in the case of rain/snow/wet and dirty ground to protect our costumes and equipment as well as our performers safety. In the case of hot weather, suitable shade or an indoor alternative must be provided to ensure our performers and equipment do not overheat – our wigs and costumes can be extremely heavy and hot to wear already!

Keeping the magic alive!

We recommend having our performers arrive at least 15 minutes after the start of your party/booking to allow time for guests to arrive and get settled in before we begin our entertainment! This also prevents guests seeing our performers arrive via the car. We want them to believe we arrive via carriage, not our little cars! So, if we do see guests heading into the venue, we will hold back from arriving which can impact our arrival time. Due to costume restrictions, some characters may need to secure wigs and hoop skirts in the car once at the venue. Our performers make necessary precautions to ensure we are not seen such as doing this around the corner before arriving etc but please help us by starting your party at least 15 minutes before our start time!

Our performers work hard to look and act like the real deal! So please refrain from asking questions or making comments that will ruin the illusion such as ‘Are you really from America?’ and ‘You really look like the real Cinderella!’
